Suzanne Stepanski joined St. Joseph's Community Health
Services Medical Staff on July 14, 2003. She comes to St. Joseph's from
Ronan ,Montana where she practiced for the past five years. Dr.
Stepanski expects her new position to be demanding, however, she was
drawn to the philosophy of St. Joseph's which stresses the importance of
family in their employees lives.
Suzanne hails from rural Pennsylvania, and her family
history includes relatives that immigrated from Czechoslovakia, which
should make her feel at home in Hillsboro.
She received her undergraduate degree from Penn State,
attended medical school at New York Osteopathic and did her residency at
Wilson Memorial Hospital in Binghanton, New York.
Suzanne is the first Osteopath on staff. Although
there is little difference between being an M.D. and an Osteopath, the
latter stresses the importance of bones and muscle structure in human
health. Suzanne is also qualified to do manipulations, as a chiropractor
would do. She has extensive experience in dealing with sports injuries.
Pediatrics and maternity are her chief interests, and
why not? She has a three-year-old, Rachael, and two-year old twins,
Brienna and Brandyn. Suzanne and her husband Micheal Tuttle, are
currently renting a home in Elroy but hope to move into the rural area
soon.
When she is not doctoring Suzanne and her family enjoy
outdoor sports such as hunting, fishing, and bike riding. She is also an
avid golfer. Although she hasn't done it yet, she looks forward to
touring the local bike trails.
