Meet
Judy Sosinsky |
| |
Central Supply Clerk |
If you see Judy Sosinsky at St. Josephs Hospital,
chances are she is just a smiling flash, zooming past you in the hallway. As
a clerk in Central Supply, she is one of a staff of three that makes sure
that each and every department has the multitude of things needed for its
operation, from needles to notebooks. All of the medical supplies are
distributed from Central Supply to St. Josephs Hospital and Nursing Home as
well as the Clinic. A courier delivers supplies to the clinic in Elroy. In
addition to all that Central Supply also acts as a conduit for patient
charts and other paperwork, making sure that critical information about each
patient is available in the department it is needed. CS also delivers to
Gunderson Lutheran Clinic next to the Hospital.
Judy is a graduate of Brookwood High School and joined
the St. Josephs staff on July 2nd, 1971, after completing
Nursing Assistant classes. In the course of her career with the hospital,
she has worked in Respiratory Therapy, Activities Department and the Lab.
But she considers this her favorite position because she has an opportunity
to interact with nearly every staff member.
Judy has also been an Emergency Medical Technician
since 1977 and serves with the Hillsboro Ambulance. That is a job she enjoys
so much she managed to persuade her husband to take the EMT class and join
her on the squad.
Living
so close to the hospital and being married to the head of the maintenance
staff, Terry Sosinsky, means the hospital is a big part of Judys life. But
she still makes time for her three cats, whom she says are spoiled rotten.
