Director of Medical Imaging
Dee Olson is one of St.
Joseph's home grown employees. A native of LaFarge, she earned her
degree at WWTC in Radiography, attending school on a scholarship
provided by St. Joseph's. After graduating nine years ago, she joined
the staff as a technician and now manages the department. During that
time she has also completed advanced registries in mammography and cat
scans. Dee says her department has changed over to a digital system of
x-rays and just acquired a new scanner.
Her staff includes three
full-time technicians and two "pool" employees who can be called for
emergencies and to fill-in for vacationers.
Dee is a working supervisor,
handling her share of mammograms, cat scans and regular x-rays. In
addition the hospital also has visiting services for MRI's,
ultra-sounds, nuclear medicine and bone densitometry.
"It is a great place to work,
" says Dee, "we all work as a team."
Dee lives in LaFarge with her
husband who is a long-haul truck driver.
