Philosophy

Health care within a Christian setting is an extension of the ministry of Jesus who healed with compassion and concern for each person.  St. Joseph's Community Health Services extend care to everyone without regard for age, race, sex, creed, disability, social status or ability to pay.  made in the image and likeness of God, all human beings possess an inherent dignity and unity of body, mind and spirit.  Recognizing this dignity and unity, we foster an atmospheres in which healing of the whole person can occur.

Our Guiding Principles

  1. We believe in the sanctity of life from conception until death.

  2. We believe in following Christ's example as a healer with special concern for the poor, the aged and the dying.

  3. We believe that in our contacts with our patients and residents we must always be sensitive to the vulnerability that accompanies suffering.

  4. We believe that caring attitudes foster an atmosphere in which healing takes place.

  5. We believe that the family of the ill and infirm should be comforted with emotional and spiritual support.

  6. We believe in respecting individual rights and beliefs.

  7. We believe in promoting wellness through education and involvement of each person in his or her own health care.

  8. We believe in using our natural, technical and human resources wisely to provide quality health services.

  9. We believe that our employees, medical staff and volunteers are our most valuable resource.

  10. We believe in affirming the individual dignity of all employees with just compensation for their labors and in offering opportunities for personal and professional growth.

  11. We believe in upholding the highest standards of medical ethics and in providing staff with continuing education in these matters.

  12. We believe that we are an integral part of our communities and will work toward mutual goals beneficial to all.

Our goal with each and every patient is to treat body, mind and spirit with the quality and care our local residents have come to expect.
